Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been continuously linked with a move to Spanish club Real Madrid.
Hazard will be out of contract at the end of next season and the Belgian captain is yet to extend his Chelsea contract. Hazard recently admitted he is torn between signing a new Chelsea contract and leaving for Real Madrid.
“I don’t want to say, ‘yes, I am signing a new contract’ and then in the end I don’t end up signing,” Hazard said.
“I want what’s good for me, but I want what’s good for the club because the club has given me everything.
“So I will see. Sometimes in my head, I wake up in the morning and think I want to go. Sometimes I think I want to stay.
“It is a hard decision. It is my future.
“Real Madrid are the best club in the world. I don’t want to lie today.
“It is my dream since I was a kid. I was dreaming about this club.
“We will see. I don’t want to talk about this every day, I don’t have time.
“But we will talk about my future soon.”
Despite Hazard’s continuously links with Real Madrid, Chelsea legend Michael Essien insists Hazard is happy at Stamford Bridge.
“First of all it’s good to still have him with us,” Essien told ESPN.
“He’s such a good footballer. He had a fantastic World Cup and he came back and he’s doing very well at the moment.
“Hopefully he will carry the team until the end and we will see.
“When you’re playing well the big clubs will start coming.
“As I know, he’s happy at Chelsea so hopefully he can stay as long as he can.”
