Eden Hazard has never hidden his love for Chelsea, but the Belgian has also never stopped flirting with Real Madrid.
More recently, the Chelsea star revealed that although he still loves Chelsea, he’s unsure if he’d sign a new contract with the Blues.
“I don’t want to say, ‘yes, I am signing a new contract’ and then in the end I don’t end up signing,” Hazard said.
“I want what’s good for me, but I want what’s good for the club because the club has given me everything.
“So I will see. Sometimes in my head, I wake up in the morning and think I want to go. Sometimes I think I want to stay.
“It is a hard decision. It is my future.
“Real Madrid are the best club in the world. I don’t want to lie today.
“It is my dream since I was a kid. I was dreaming about this club.
“We will see. I don’t want to talk about this every day, I don’t have time.
“But we will talk about my future soon.”
Hazard’s form has been extraordinary of late, and the 27-year-old has been incredible since the World Cup. After being one of the best players at the World Cup, the Chelsea star has taken the Premier League by storm this season, scoring seven times and laying on three assists in just eight games – making a key contribution every 57 minutes.
Hazard’s future was once again the main topic of conversation at a pre-match press conference ahead of Belgium’s Friday clash with Switzerland.
The Chelsea star has been hailed by his manager Maurizio Sarri as the current best player in the world, and he was asked if he feels he is the best player in the world, he responded: “Yes. I say yes just before so I say yes to you.”
He was then asked if he’d need to go to Spain to win the Ballon d’Or, and he replied: “That’s why I want to go maybe.”
