Thibaut Courtois entered the bad books of Chelsea fans after he forced a move away from Stamford Bridge to join Real Madrid during the summer.
Eden Hazard was also strongly linked with a move to Los Blancos last season, but he chose to remain at the club.
At the end of this season, Hazard will have just a year left on his Chelsea contract, and there are still talks of whether he will sign a new club or leave at the end of the season.
“Confidence comes when you play games, so I think he is a fantastic player. He played a fantastic game,” said Hazard.
“Of course, it is not just because he scored and got an assist. I think he is strong, you can see on the pitch, that he is very strong.
“He had some bad moments last year and two years ago with injury but I think he can reach a fantastic level because he is a fantastic player. He is still young and I think he is a good player for the future of Chelsea.”
Hazard has insisted that he won’t force a move away from the club and that he still loves the club even though he might like a move away to Real Madrid.
“I don’t want that [drama],” he added. “I want what’s good for me, but I want what’s good for the club because the club has given me everything. I don’t want to say: ‘Yes, I am signing a new contract,’ and then I don’t end up signing.
“I could talk now [about a new contract]. If they come to me, then I will talk. I don’t want to say that I am not talking with the club or the owner. I am talking a lot with them.
“I am happy and I don’t need anything. It is not trophies. Of course, when you play, you want to win but I just want to enjoy things on the pitch, like I am at the moment.”
Hazard is being tipped to be the best in the world after a tremendous start to the season. The 27-year-old was phenomenal in the World Cup for Belgium as they reached third place, and he has scored eight goals for the Blues this season in just 10 games.
