Players, coaches and stewards got involved in the melee which angered Mourinho, and the Manchester United manager insisted after the game the matter has been resolved.
He said: “I’m not annoyed with anything. What happened with Sarri’s assistant and Sarri was the first person to come to me and say he would resolve the problem internally with him.
“After that the assistant came to my office and apologised to me. I immediately accept the apology if he means it. I said forget it, because I make mistakes too.
“Forget it, it’s over. He apologised and it’s over.”
