Eden Hazard was roughly treated by Manchester United players in last Saturday’s 2-2 draw between Chelsea and United at Stamford Bridge, and Hazard was left injured after the game.
The 27-year-old was left out of Thursday’s Europa League victory over Bate Borisov as a result of the back injury he suffered against Jose Mourinho’s side.
Hazard also missed Sunday’s 4-0 win over Burnley at Stamford Bridge and speaking before the Burnley match, Sarri said: “Hazard is really very important for us but today we have to play without him.
“I think we are able to play without him, we have some other very good players.”
Speaking after the game, Sarri admitted he can’t wait for Hazard to return but he’s unsure if the Chelsea star will be back in time for the mid-week clash against Derby County in the Carabao Cup.
“I want him every match, if possible. I think that he offers something different,” said Sarri.
“I am very happy as the team was able to score seven goals in two matches without him.
“I want him as soon as possible. I’m not sure for Wednesday.”
