Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi was undoubtedly Chelsea’s best player in pre-season as the teenager showed why he is highly rated by the club all through pre-season.

Hudson-Odoi particularly showed how good he can be in Chelsea’s pre-season game against Arsenal, as he terrorised Hector Bellerin all through his stay on the pitch.

However, the 17-year-old is yet to make a single appearance for the Blues since the season began, and he has barely made a matchday squad under Maurizio Sarri who often speaks highly of him.

Chelsea fans were unhappy when neither of Ethan Ampadu and Hudson-Odoi played in the Europa League game against PAOK, and Sarri has assured that he’ll make wholesale changes for the game against Mol Vidi this time around.

Sarri revealed in his press conference that he could make up to seven changes to his starting eleven. But does this mean there will be a start for Hudson-Odoi? Read what the manager told the media below.

Sarri said: “For sure not both – Hazard or Hudson-Odoi I think. “I said a couple of weeks ago that the period from the first international break to the second is like my pre-season so I would like to see every player in this period, so maybe tomorrow it is time to see Loftus-Cheek I think. I don’t know about Hudson-Odoi at the moment.

“Loftus-Cheek was unlucky in the last three weeks after the match with the international team, he had a problem but in the last five or six days he has been better, he is able to play tomorrow.”

Sarri refused to assure if Hudson-Odoi will start the game and revealed it’ll either be Eden Hazard or the youngster featuring in this game. However, he assured that Ruben Loftus-Cheek will start if fit.
