N’Golo Kante’s contract renewal has been up for some time now with his current contract due to expire in 2021, and the Chelsea midfielder is now set to sign a new deal that will make him one of the highest earners in the Premier League.
N’Golo Kante has been a revelation since moving to the Premier League in 2015, and the 27-year-old’s stock has even risen since he signed for Chelsea two years ago.
Barcelona and PSG were strongly linked with the France international during the summer, but Chelsea held on to their prized asset and declared Kante ‘unsellable’.
Reports now claim Kante has agreed a new five-year deal with Chelsea worth around £300,000-a-week.
The Frenchman has been in discussions with the club over a new deal for over six months, and according to the Telegraph the deal has to go through the club’s lawyers but is agreed in principle and will be announced in due course.
Kante’s new deal is said to be five years in length, taking him to the age of 32 by the time it expires in 2023.
