Chelsea are believed to be looking to sign a striker at the end of the season, and a number of names have been linked with the club.
Marko Arnautovic has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, and the Hammers slapped a £50m price tag on him after Manchester United made advances during the summer.
Arnautovic, 29, has scored 16 goals in 46 appearances since joining the Hammers in the summer of 2017, and his brother and agent Daniel Arnautovic has revealed that the West Ham striker is ready to leave for a new challenge.
“He is ready for the next step,” Daniel Arnautovic told Gianluca Di Marzio.
“It’s not like that he wants to leave, but we believe that the time has come that Marko takes a step forward in his career, maybe try to win a trophy, maybe the Champions League. The stats are on his side.”
Daniel then revealed that Chelsea are among the Premier League clubs interested in Marko Arnautovic.
“Many Premier League clubs are following him, like Chelsea and Everton, but they are not the only ones.”
Olivier Giroud’s contract winds up at the end of the season and Michy Batshuayi’s future is far from sure that he will be at the club next season. But do Chelsea really need Arnautovic who’s already 29?
