Chelsea youngster Ethan Ampadu is attracting massive loan interest from the likes of Derby County and Aston Villa with the youngster struggling for a place in Maurizio Sarri’s squad.
The 18-year-old has broken into the Wales senior team and made seven appearances under Antonio Conte last season after signing for Chelsea from Exeter City in the summer of 2017, but has failed to make a single appearance under Sarri this season.
Ampadu admitted back in September that he’s frustrated at not having opportunities at the club, but he’s determined to fight his way into the team.
“You could say there’s been frustration on one hand, but at the same time I’m getting experience training with the players,” he said.
“I’m just trying to improve to get into the team. This season’s plans are this season’s plans and at the moment I’ve just to keep improving to try and get in the team. I want to show the manager what I can do.”
Derby County boss Frank Lampard expressed an interest in signing Ampadu on loan during the summer, and now John Terry who is now assistant manager to new Villla boss Dean Smith, is keen on signing Ampadu.
According to Goal, Ampadu could be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge on loan in January.
