According to Spanish TV station La Sexta via Daily Express, Spanish club Barcelona are preparing a January move for Chelsea winger Willian.
Chelsea rejected three bids from Barcelona for the 30-year-old during the summer, with the highest bid being around £55 million, but it seems Barcelona are refusing to give up on signing Willian.
The report claims Barcelona are preparing to test Chelsea’s resolve to keep Willian and will offer £75 million (€80 million) in January for Willian.
Barcelona signed Malcom from Bordeaux last summer after failing to sign Willian and the Spanish side are considering including the young Brazilian winger in the deal for Willian to drop the transfer fee.
Malcom joined Barcelona in the summer from Bordeaux in a £36 million deal.
Malcom has been linked with a Nou Camp exit after playing just 25 minutes of football in La Liga under Ernesto Valverde since joining Barcelona during the summer.
Just as Chelsea rejected all three bids for Willian in the summer, the Blues will definitely reject another bid for Willian in January.
Willian is a key player for Chelsea and has impressed under new boss Maurizio Sarri, so I don’t see why Chelsea would want to swap Willian for Malcom who has played just 25 minutes of football this season for Barcelona.
