Chelsea midfielder N’golo Kante signed a new Chelsea contract this week and Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has urged Eden Hazard to follow suit and sign a new Chelsea contract.
Hazard will have just one year left on his contract at the end of the season and Real Madrid are interested in signing the 27-year-old.
Hazard has admitted he is torn between signing a new Chelsea contract and moving to Real Madrid.
Drogba, who referred to Hazard as the ‘Prince of Stamford Bridge’, wants Eden to extend his Chelsea contract.
“He has to be the next one to sign,” Drogba told Goal.
Drogba also threw his weight behind Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata by insisting it’s not easy leading the line at a big club like Chelsea.
Drogba added: “It’s definitely not easy. It happens to everyone to go through difficult moments. What mostly gets you through that period is the support of the fans. And Chelsea fans have been great to him, giving him all the support.
“Everyone, including me, was very happy when he started scoring again. He’s a really nice guy, and most importantly a great striker. You don’t play for Juventus and Real Madrid if you’re good enough, and I think he’s great.”
