Cesc Fabregas has found it difficult to command regular playing time this season under Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri with the Italian preferring Jorginho as the deep-lying playmaker.
Fabregas impressed as Chelsea beat PAOK 4-0 in the Europa League on Thursday night at Stamford Bridge with the Spaniard providing the assist for Olivier Giroud’s second goal and Callum Hudson-Odoi’s goal.
Some Chelsea fans have suggested Fabregas should start instead of Jorginho in Chelsea’s midfield after his impressive performance against PAOK.
While some fans suggested Fabregas is a better midfielder than Jorginho, others suggested Fabregas is a better passer of the ball than Jorginho.
Sarri has made it clear that he doesn’t want to play N’Golo Kante deep in midfield and a Chelsea fan suggested Fabregas would be a better option to Jorginho in that role because he can create goals.
A fan even suggested Fabregas is light years above Jorginho in passing and creativity while another fan insisted Fabregas’ pass over the top of PAOK’s defence for Giroud’s second goal is something that Jorginho can’t do.
Fabregas or Jorginho, who do you think is the better midfielder?
