Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi scored his first ever Chelsea goal during the 4-0 Europa League thrashing of PAOK at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.
It was Hudson-Odoi’s first start for Chelsea in a competitive game and definitely a night to remember for the 18-year-old.
Hudson-Odoi scored Chelsea’s third goal after collecting a pass from Cesc Fabregas.
The 18-year-old also provided an assist for Alvaro Morata’s goal and was voted man of the match.
Fabregas reminded Hudson-Odoi after the victory over PAOK that the 18-year-old will always remember him as the player that provided the assist for his first Chelsea goal.
While Hudson-Odoi was being interviewed after the match, Fabregas strolled over to congratulate the youngster while jokingly asking Callum “Who gave you your first ever goal for Chelsea?” before adding “you will always remember me, huh?”
Fabregas then patted Hudson-Odoi on the head before making his departure.
Chelsea only needed a point to guarantee we top Group L but went all out for all three points against PAOK.
Speaking after the victory over PAOK, Hudson-Odoi said: “I got the opportunity to start the game and I thought to myself do you know what, today could be the day.
“I thought to myself every time I got the ball to just do what I do normally, keep it simple at times but to just do my normal stuff and as soon as I got the goal I could not believe it, I thought it was a dream!
“As soon as I saw the crowd jumping I realised it was actually a goal, I had actually scored the first goal for my club, especially coming up from the Academy. The assist as well, that just tops off the night. We worked hard and we deserve all the goals that we got.”
