Eden Hazard is set to make his injury comeback when Chelsea play Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge later today.
The Belgian captain hasn’t played for Chelsea since he picked up an injury in the 2-2 draw with Manchester United last month.
With Hazard set to return against Crystal Palace, Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso has hailed him as one of the best.
“He’s been in great form since before the World Cup,” Alonso said of Hazard.
“Last year wasn’t easy for him as he had an injury at the beginning of the season but he finished it great, played a great World Cup and you can see how he’s playing now.
“I think he’s one of the best and we are happy to have him with us.”
The Blues are unbeaten this season and are currently well placed near the top of the table.
Alonso believes Chelsea’s performance in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool proves we can compete with the best teams in Europe.
“We already played against Liverpool and I think we were the better team,” Alonso said.
“We were unlucky to concede the goal at the end so I think we can compete against any team in Europe. The target has to be to start every game 100 per cent and try to win.”
