Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has refused to rule out leaving Chelsea on loan in January.
The midfielder, who is yet to start a Premier League game for Chelsea this season, is wanted on loan by Crystal Palace and Bundesliga side Schalke.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri ruled out a loan move for Loftus-Cheek in January but the 22-year-old midfielder is keeping his options open ahead of the January transfer window.
In response to Sarri ruling out a loan move for him in January, Loftus-Cheek told Standard Sport: “I think the situation is not for a loan.
“It is good to hear him say that, but I’m just concentrating on the here and now.
“A lot can change in football in a short space of time. I don’t look too far ahead.”
Despite his limited game time, Loftus-Cheek insists he is more at peace now than he was in the summer.
“I am in a happier head space now,” Loftus-Cheek added.
“I think months ago, in the summer, I wasn’t sure what was happening. I’d hoped to have had more appearances so it is hard.
“But it’s important to be patient in life, not just football. If I stay patient I’m in a better head space to learn rather than being in a frustrated place, wasting time with negative energy.”
Loftus-Cheek has made three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea this season while starting three Europa League games.
