Alvaro Morata has been in good form in recent games, and the Spain international has bagged three goals in his last two appearances for the Blues, and four in five.

Morata has taken his shirt back from Olivier Giroud and was rested for this weekend’s clash against Everton at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are unbeaten in 23 home Premier League games against the Merseyside club and Morata believes Chelsea can keep up their good form against the Toffees.

“I think the important thing is to always try to get the three points at home,” he said. “If we want to be able to fight until the end for the Premier League, we need to be able to take all the points possible in our home.

“We have a very strong mentality, we are always together and we have a really good group this year. If we are lucky, I think we can be one of the teams in the race for the Premier League.

“In the Premier League all the teams are tough and Everton are a really good side. But we are at home and with our supporters, so we need to play good and we need to be together if we want to win something this year. We always try to play our best football, but we need their support.

“I think they are a really good team. It is always different when a team changes its manager, but I think they play well, they have good ideas with and without the ball, and we need to play a really good game to beat them. If we continue on the same line as the last few games in the Premier League, I think for sure it will be a tough game, but we can win.”
