See the player ratings below

Kepa: Was barely tested but made some good saves when called upon. 7/10

Azpilicueta: Solid at the back but his offensive contribution seems to be lacking. 6/10

Rudiger: Was a beast at the back and was able to cope with the threat of Richarlison. 7/10

Luiz: Was also solid at the back and did his job with aplomb. 7/10

Jorginho: Not at his best today and could rarely play some penetrative passes beyond Everton’s backline. 5.5/10

Kante: Misplaced some balls and could barely contribute anything to Chelsea’s attacking move. 5.5/10

Kovacic: Had a good game, worked hard and his forward runs were impressive. Was taken off for Barkley towards the end of the game. 7/10

Willian: Was dangerous at times but his finishing let him down. Could have squared a pass for Morata in the second half. 6/10

Hazard: Was more dangerous in the second half and had some good spells but find it hard to break Everton’s defence. 6.5/10

Morata: Didn’t have any tangible chance of note, but let his team down sometimes with his offside positioning. 5.5/10

Fabregas: Was brought on for Jorginho to open up Everton with his passes, but he too found it difficult. 5.5/10

Pedro: Replaced Willian in the second half but could barely cause a threat after coming on. 5/10

Barkley: Replaced Jorginho late in the game and was below par against his former side. 4/10
