Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri believes Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has a less demanding job at Tottenham than he does at Chelsea because Pochettino has been at Tottenham for years now.
Sarri, who is yet to win a trophy in his career, admits he wants to win trophy to avoid questions of him not winning a trophy in his career.
Sarri also hailed Pochettino as a very important manager even though the Argentine is yet to win a trophy with Tottenham.
“I think that, for him, it’s easier the fact that he’s working with the same team for three or four years,” Sarri said. “So it’s a little bit easier. Not easy, but easier.
“I want to win something just to avoid this question (about not having won a trophy) Sometimes there are the conditions for winning. Sometimes not.
“Maybe Pochettino is not in the condition to win at the moment. In the Premier League there is for sure one team stronger. Maybe two (Manchester City and Liverpool).
“So it’s very difficult to win if you’re not the best team. Sometimes it’s difficult to win even if you are the best team. If you’re not, it’s more difficult. But it’s clear he’s a very important coach, with a trophy or without a trophy.”
