Belgium were in action in the UEFA Nations League in Brussels as they secured their third straight win of the group stages thanks to a 2-0 victory over Iceland.
Eden Hazard was on fire in this game, and in Romelu Lukaku’s absence, Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi who’s on loan to Valencia led the line and scored a beautiful brace.
Belgium skipper, Hazard stole the show with an incredible pass behind the defence that led to Belgium’s first goal. The pass is one of the best passes we’ve seen this season as Hazard cut in off the left flank, turned his marked inside out and then played an astonishing pass that split Belgium’s defence.
Hazard’s pinpoint-perfect pass found the overlapping run of Thomas Meunier at the far right who squared the ball for Batshuayi to slide home from close range.
Batshuayi also scored the second of the game as he was at the right place at the right time to tap in a parried shot from Hans Vanaken into the net.
