Borussia Dortmund midfielder Axel Witsel believes Chelsea star Eden Hazard has the qualities to win the Ballon d’Or.
According to Witsel, Hazard is a better player than Neymar because he is more direct and decisive when he dribbles compared to Neymar who is more for the show.
Witsel told Bein Sport: “I think he has the qualities to win the Ballon d’Or, but you also have to win titles.
“But Eden is as strong as Neymar because he is more direct. He is less ‘show’, when he dribbles he goes straight to the goal to try to make a decisive pass or score.
“Neymar is also one of the best, but he’s more for the show, he’s in the show. He’s going to dribble a guy, he’s going to wait for him to come back and beat him again.
“That’s what I love about Eden.”
Hazard failed to score against Everton on Sunday with the 27-year-old revealing he was tired and still suffering the effects of the World Cup in the summer.
“Believe me, I am tired!” Hazard told talkSPORT after the stalemate with Everton.
“But I think I’m in good condition to play.
“Last year I got an injury with my ankle for three months. So that’s why I’m fresh now.”
