Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been in tremendous form since the end of last season, and the 27-year-old captained Belgium to third position in the World Cup.

After a phenomenal show in the World Cup, Hazard has also started the season in superb form, and was shortlisted for the Ballon d’Or award.

Chelsea right-back Davide Zappacosta has admitted that Hazard is simply the best player in the team, both on the pitch and on the training ground.

Asked who is the best player in Maurizio Sarri’s squad, Zappacosta said with a laugh: “That’s too simple, Eden Hazard.

“[He is also] the best player in training. He’s almost unstoppable, especially for the defenders when you have to mark him.

“It’s a hard job because he’s very quick and he has excellent quality, so it’s not simple to stop him.”

Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi who was taking part in the quarter-final of the NBA2K19 Gaming Tournament was asked which current Premier League player could be compared to basketball star LeBron James, and Iwobi pointed to Hazard.

Iwobi said: “I would say Hazard.

“He’s dominating and has had a very good season so far and he’s always a top performer.”
