No one expected a Chelsea victory against an unbeaten Manchester City side, but Maurizio Sarri’s side defied the odds with a brilliant 2-0 victory.

Kepa: Saved a Kyle Walker free-kick pretty well, and saved every shot that came his way. Was sloppy at the end with a poor pass but made a nice save to make up for it. 7/10

Rudiger: Was a beast at the back and coped very well with City’s pressing. 8/10

Luiz: Played a stunning pass up to Pedro that led to the N’Golo Kante goal. Was a beast at the back and formed a good partnership with Rudiger. Sealed Chelsea’s win with the all important second goal. 9/10

Azpilicueta: Was very solid at right-back and this is arguably his best game all season. Made a couple of excellent tackles and one superb block in the first half. Had a good game against Sane. 9/10

Alonso: Was probably the only weak link in defence. However, he did well in the buildup to Kante’s goal with a good pass. 6/10

Jorginho: Didn’t dominate the midfield as he’s used to, but he was better in the second-half and also nullified the threat of David Silva. 7/10

Kante: Personally, my man of the match. Scored the all important goal that boosted Chelsea’s confidence to go on and win the game. His forward runs were superb, and he worked very hard in the middle. 9/10

Kovacic: Was neat and tidy in possession, worked hard in the middle of the park. Was having a good game until he had to be taken off due to injury. 8/10

Willian: Worked hard off the ball and tested Ederson with a good free-kick, but lacked quality upfront. Was unhappy to be subbed off in the second-half. 6/10

Pedro: Worked hard all game long, held the ball pretty well and did well in the buildup to Kante’s goal. 8/10

Hazard: Was isolated upfront especially in the first-half, but the Belgian interestingly assisted the two goals, and he held up play when he needed to up front. Won some important fouls for the team to help relieve the pressure. 7.5/10

Barkley: Didn’t really get on well with the pace of the game after coming on, but he worked pretty hard. 6/10

Loftus-Cheek: Replaced Willian, and was decent. 6/10

Giroud: Was a 90 minute sub for Hazard.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
