Chelsea have a tricky away tie against Wolves at the Molineux Stadium on Wednesday night.
Wolves might not be in the best form and haven’t won a game since October, but they have proven that they are difficult to beat.
The stats geeks over at Football Web Pages have created a super computer algorithm that calculates the most likely results for every game based on previous goals and results.
Super computer has predicted that Chelsea will only snatch a slim 1-0 victory away from home.
Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has backed Chelsea to win the game 3-1. Merson believes Wolves will try to attack against Chelsea, and this will give Chelsea enough room to punish them.
Merson said: “Wolves are a funny team because they look the part. I watch them and think to myself they are a good team but they’ve only got one point from their last six games. That sort of form is not the sign of a good team!
“Teams are getting used to playing against them now and they are closing Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho down quickly to stop them playing.
“Wolves will have a go against Chelsea but I think that plays into the hands of Maurizio Sarri’s side, who will pick the hosts off on a big open pitch.”
