Chelsea beat Manchester City 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening to end City’s unbeaten start to the Premier League.
The Blues were on the back foot for much of the first half before N’Golo Kante gave us the lead right on the stroke of half-time.
Chelsea came out much stronger in the second half, and our lead was eventually extended when Hazard’s corner was headed home by David Luiz.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri revealed after the game that he was happy with Chelsea’s defending against City and the way the Blues started the second half.
“We had Eden for the first time in that position and in the first 20 minutes we didn’t work very well in the defensive movement,” Sarri said.
“We defended very well and then we started to press better and after the first goal the match changed and we played well in the first 20 of the second half and in the end we deserved to win and I am happy with it.
“It’s not easy to win against Man City.
“For me it isn’t easy to win against Guardiola but we need to find this kind of motivation and we need to play with the level of determination in the other matches otherwise it’s useless to win a match like this.”
