According to former Chelsea player Tony Cascarino, West Ham star Marko Arnautovic would fit perfectly into Chelsea.
Chelsea have been linked with the West Ham striker with reports claiming Chelsea will need to pay as much as £50million to sign the Austrian international.
Cascarino told talkSPORT: “You know the one player I’d really want to take? Arnautovic – I’d take him in a heartbeat. I think he’d fit perfectly into Chelsea.”
He added: “The thing with Arnautovic – he reminds me of that Eric Cantona mindset. He thinks he’s good enough to be up there at the top table, and he is.
“He was dreadful at times last year, but there’s a real player in there and he needs a challenge and maybe the challenge is West Ham?
“I’m not saying he should leave West Ham, but he is a guy who needs to be winning things. He’s that good of a player.
“Arnautovic is a player capable of playing for one of the best teams in England.”
His brother and agent Daniel Arnautovic revealed in November that the West Ham striker is ready to leave for a new challenge, with Chelsea interested in a deal for the 29-year-old.
“He is ready for the next step,” Daniel Arnautovic told Gianluca Di Marzio.
“It’s not like that he wants to leave, but we believe that the time has come that Marko takes a step forward in his career, maybe try to win a trophy, maybe the Champions League. The stats are on his side.
“Many Premier League clubs are following him, like Chelsea and Everton, but they are not the only ones.”
