Chelsea will host Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night in the quarterfinal of the Carabao Cup.
Bournemouth have been in a very poor form going into this fixture, and have lost six of their last seven games, and they are coming into this game as the underdogs.
However, Chelsea are the favourites for this game, and the Blues are yet to lose any cup game this season.
Despite Bournemouth’s poor form, Chelsea assistant manager Gianfranco Zola believes that the Cherries are still a dangerous side with a good manager. Zola is expecting a difficult game but believes Chelsea have the right squad to overcome those difficulties.
Zola said in his pre-match press conference: “They are a dangerous team, they’ve come far from last season, they keep improving, they have a good coach and team. We know the game will have difficulties but with respect we know our potential, we know we are getting better. We’ve had a bad spell and now we are improving and we are approaching the game with a lot of confidence.
“We are ambitious, we want to win so we will treat the competition seriously. We know we have a lot of games to play so there will certainly be changes, but despite that it will still be a strong team tomorrow.”
