Barcelona haven’t given up hopes of signing Chelsea star Willian after the Spanish club launched another bid for the Brazilian this month.

According to Daily Mail, Barcelona submitted a new player-plus cash bid worth £50million for Chelsea midfielder Willian on Thursday.

Barcelona are including Malcom plus cash for Willian, who has 18 months left in Chelsea contract.

It is understood that Barcelona are prepared to move on Malcom, who joined from Bordeaux only last summer for a fee of £38 million. Malcom has failed to live up to his potential at Barcelona and the Spanish club want to include him in a deal for Willian.

Barcelona tried to sign Willian during the summer with the Spanish club offering up to £65million in July for the Brazilian but Chelsea rejected all offers for the Brazilian.

Chelsea have reportedly rejected an offer from Barcelona to swap Willian for Malcom plus cash. Malcom plus the cash Barcelona are offering would value the deal at £50 million and Chelsea value Willian higher than the proposal from Barcelona.

The Blues aren’t willing to let Willian leave Stamford Bridge as he is regarded as a key member of the squad and Chelsea are looking to strengthen this window rather than let key players leave.

Another player that has been a subject of a bid this month is Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi. Bayern Munich have made several offers for the youngster with the latest bid said to be around £35 million.

Chelsea development squad manager Joe Edwards, who played a key role in Hudson-Odoi’s progress through the academy, wants the youngster to reject Bayern Munich’s advances and stay at Stamford Bridge.

“As someone from our academy I would obviously love him to stay and the dream for all of us at the academy is to see our boys playing in the first team,” Edwards said.

“It’s not easy getting in the first team at clubs of this size and I think it is, at the moment, all credit to Callum with so much going on around him at such a young age to be going out on the pitch and putting in the performances.

“All credit to him, he has shown what he is capable of, shown why he is getting this attention and hopefully he signs his contract and does it many more times for Chelsea.”
