In the Premier League, Kurt Zouma provided the assist for Everton’s late consolation goal as the Toffees were beaten 2-1 at Southampton. Zouma was on the scoresheet in the previous game for Everton as he scored from a powerful header that helped the Toffees defeat Bournemouth 2-0.

In the Championship, Tammy Abraham has been in good form this season, and the 21-year-old scored for the sixth successive home game with his fourth goal in his last four appearances as Aston Villa came from behind to play a 2-2 draw with a Hull City side which featured another Chelsea loanee Todd Kane at right-back.

It was Abraham’s 17th goal of the season and he has now pulled away from Billy Sharp, Teemu Pukki and Neal Maupay to become the outright top scorer in the Championship.

Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori were in action for Derby County as they followed their FA Cup replay win over Southampton with a 2-1 league victory against a Reading side which included another Chelsea man Lewis Baker. Frank Lampard’s side maintained their spot in the play-off places.

Tomas Kalas and Jay Dasilva started in defence for Bristol City while Kasey Palmer came off the bench with just under half an hour remaining as Bristol lost to Nottingham Forest 1-0.

In Serie A, Mario Pasalic provided the assists for Atalanta’s first two goals as they defeated Frosinione 5-0, while Ola Aina played for Torino who lost 3-2 at Roma.

Kenneth Omeruo started for Leganes as they went to the Nou Camp to face Barcelona and lost the game 3-1.
