Chelsea were humiliated and thoroughly beaten at the Vitality Stadium, as the Cherries thrashed the Blues mercilessly 4-0 at home.

Despite Chelsea dominating possession in the first half, the Blues lost their bearing in the second period, and couldn’t cope with Bournemouth’s fearless counter attacks.

See the player ratings below:

Kepa: Conceded four goals as Chelsea collapsed in the second half. Couldn’t really be blamed for the team’s poor showing in defence. 4/10

Azpilicueta: Was very impressive in the first half as he kept Ryan Fraser quiet, and was good going forward and put in one fantastic ball into the middle, before a decent effort which was tipped away by Artur Boruc. Went missing in the second-half as Chelsea’s defence went to sleep. 4/10

Luiz: Was decent in the first-half and some of his long range passes were on point. Lost his bearing in the second half and was all over the place. Gifted the Cherries with a misplaced pass for the second goal. 2/10

Rudiger: Was solid in the first half but his partnership with Luiz crashed in the second-half. 3/10

Emerson: Didn’t do enough to stake claim on his shirt ahead of Marcos Alonso as he was exposed defensively. 3/10

Jorginho: He was okay in the first half as Chelsea held on to possession, but in the second half the Bournemouth midfield breezed past him as our midfield was overran by a charged Bournemouth side in the second-half. 3/10

Kante: Was Chelsea’s most hardworking player, but others didn’t come to the party. Didn’t contribute much to the team’s attack. 4/10

Kovacic: Cool on the ball in the first-half, but went missing in the second-half and looked tired by the time he was subbed off for Loftus-Cheek. 4/10

Pedro: His crosses were awful and he never tried to feed his striker. Wasn’t good tonight. 3/10

Hazard: Tried to link up with Higuain in the first-half and was okay in the first-half. Completely went missing in the second-half. 4/10

Higuain: Made some nice runs but wasn’t found by his teammates. Never looked like scoring as Bournemouth’s defence choked him out. 4/10

Willian: Had little impact after coming on for Pedro. His corners were awful. 3/10

Giroud: No impact after replacing Higuain in the 65th minute. 4/10

Loftus-Cheek: Came on for Kovacic with 13 minutes left and was Chelsea’s only dangerman. 5/10

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
