Chelsea are through to the fourth round of the FA Cup after defeating Nottingham Forest 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. The first half ended goalless despite Chelsea’s relentless pressure, but a second-half brace from Alvaro Morata gave the Blues the victory.

See the player ratings below:

Caballero: Was a bystander for most part of the game, especially in the first-half. 6/10

Zappacosta: Played one good ball in the first half that Morata should have buried. Bombarded the right flank especially in the first-half. 7

Luiz: The Brazilian was robust in defence, and had it easy at the back. 6/10

Christensen: Wasn’t tested at the back, and was comfortable for most part of the game. 6/10

Emerson: Linked up well with Hudson-Odoi in the first half and was always looking for the overlapping run. Was exciting and flashed some good skills. 7/10

Fabregas: This was supposed to be his last game for Chelsea and his farewell party was rued by a missed penalty. Nevertheless, he had a good game and played some wonderful over the top passes to Alvaro Morata. 7/10

Ampadu: Played in midfield this time around and was a workaholic. Made one excellent tackle in the second-half and was very solid in midfield. 7/10

Barkley: Featured on the left side of midfield and had a decent game. Didn’t do much to show the manager that he can oust Kovacic. 6/10

Loftus-Cheek: Won the penalty for Chelsea and was looking bright before injury cut short his game late in the first-half. Almost shed tears as he left for the tunnel. 6/10

Hudson-Odoi: Started on the left and was looking pretty decent. Made the switch to the right in the second-half and the 18-year-old exploded. He was by far the best player on the pitch and assisted Morata for his brace. 9/10

Morata: Scored two neat goals in the second-half, but missed a good opportunity in the first-half. Fired over an open goal in the second-half but breathed a sigh of relief when the linesman’s flag was raised. His body language was poor at times. 8/10

Hazard: Came on for the injured Loftus-Cheek, but didn’t influence the game much. 6/10

Azpilicueta: Replaced Morata with 15 minutes left of the game. Nothing much to do. 6

Kante: Came on late for Cesc Fabregas.
