Chelsea will be away to Arsenal on Saturday evening at the Emirates Stadium for a heated London derby clash.

The Blues won the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge 3-2 in what was a thrilling encounter between the two sides back in August, and with a Champions League spot in mind, this promises to be an even more thrilling encounter.

Chelsea are six points ahead of Arsenal, and a win for the Blues could take the gap to nine points.

Maurizio Sarri has revealed that he’s expecting a risky game against the Arsenal side who are good in the attacking phase.

“This match is for us a risk and an opportunity,” Sarri said in his press conference.

“It is a risk of course because Arsenal are doing well at home so it is a very difficult and dangerous for us, and it is also a great opportunity for us.

“The match is very important but very difficult because they are a very good team, and in the offensive phase they are one the best teams in the Premier League.”

Sarri has admitted that he’s paying attention to the attacking threat of Arsenal and has revealed that this will be a different fixture to the one we won in August.

“In August [against Arsenal], it was a different match,” he explained.

“They have changed it in the last seven or eight matches but we learned that they have really very dangerous movements in the offensive phase without the ball, especially when our full-back is out of the line to cover the ball, so we have to be careful and we worked on this during the week.

“I think we can be dangerous against this opponent but we have to defend with a very high level of application and attention for 95 minutes.”

Arsenal have been poor when facing the Big Six this season, as the Gunners have only beaten Tottenham Hotspur this term.

However, Chelsea first team assistant coach Carlo Cudicini has revealed he is expecting a difficult game on Saturday.

“It’s going to be a great game, for sure,” said Cudicini. “It’s two teams who have changed their managers and are playing with a new philosophy. The positions in the table are interesting, it’s (the gap between the sides) only six points.

“In recent years there have been some entertaining games between the two teams so hopefully it will be the same this time.”
