Chelsea slumped to an incredible 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday night, with a brace from Josh King, and David Brooks and also Charlie Daniels scoring one apiece.

Chelsea were expected to win this game convincingly, and after a good first-half, Chelsea slumped in the second-half and conceded four goals to make it worse.

Chelsea have now fallen out of the Champions League places and also have Manchester United breathing behind their back.

For Chelsea fans, they were so frustrated with the Italian that they sung during the game: “You don’t know what you’re doing.”

Maurizio Sarri was asked about the reaction of the fans, but he said: “We can only say sorry to the fans. You can lose, but not in this way. We need to understand the problem and solve it.”

Sarri was so frustrated with the players’ performance that he had to lock himself in the dressing room with the players for almost 50 minutes, asking the rest of his coaching staff to leave.

Explaining his decision, Sarri said: “It is very difficult to have an idea about the performance.

“I think we played well in the first half, we conceded the goal and we stopped to play.

“We didn’t play as a team, but 11 players. We were in trouble, it was difficult to say why. After the first half there was the possibility to solve the problem. Not with that kind of reaction, so it is difficult to understand why.

“I wanted to try to understand after the match, I spoke to the players but it is difficult for them to say why. I have to try again tomorrow because I need to see why.”
