It seems the players don’t really care about how bad Chelsea fans felt after their awful performance in the 6-0 loss to Manchester City on Sunday. The loss to Manchester City was Chelsea’s heaviest defeat in Premier League history and you would expect the players to feel hurt after such a terrible performance.
While fans were feeling hurt over the result on Sunday, Manchester City’s behind the scenes video of their 6-0 Chelsea hammering show a number of Chelsea players smiling and swapping shirts with Manchester City players after the loss in the tunnel at the Etihad stadium.
The footage showed Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri dashing into the dressing room after the loss but that couldn’t be said of the Chelsea players who showed no remorse after such an awful performance, the worst in Chelsea’s Premier League history.
It’s a shame the Chelsea players felt smiling with the Manchester City players and swapping shirts with them after such a humiliating loss was the right thing to do.
Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud was seen in the footage waiting for Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne before swapping shirts with the Belgium midfielder. Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante was seen swapping shirts with City midfielder and former teammate at Leicester City Riyad Mahrez. Pedro also swapped shirts with City midfielder David Silva.
Meanwhile, Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany could be heard in the footage saying “see you in two weeks” to Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero, who was a former teammate at Manchester City. Chelsea will play Manchester City in the League Cup final at Wembley in two weeks.
What do you think about the players’ actions after the loss to Manchester City? Were they right to smile and swap shirts after a heavy loss to Manchester City?
