Chelsea fans endured yet another evening as the Blues lost for the second Sunday in a row to a Manchester club without scoring a goal.

Chelsea have been knocked out of the FA Cup as United got a 2-0 away win, knocking Chelsea out in the fifth round.

Chelsea started the game well in the first half but soon conceded twice in the latter stage of the first half, and the second period was just a drab affair.

See the player ratings below:

Kepa: Couldn’t do much for the first goal scored by Ander Herrera, but his hand was weak to keep out Paul Pogba’s header for the second. Should have done better. 4/10

Azpilicueta: Started the game brightly but couldn’t do much after United scored their two goals. Couldn’t handle Pogba for the second goal. 4/10

Rudiger: Could have defended better for Pogba’s goal, and he had a tough evening against Marcus Rashford. 4/10

Luiz: Was too slow to meet up with Rashford who had all the time to whip in a good cross for Pogba to score the second. 4/10

Alonso: Started the game pretty well, but will take a share of the blame for both goals. Lost track of Herrera for Manchester United’s first goal and lost track of Rashford in the build-up to their second goal. 3/10

Jorginho: Was poor defensively as Chelsea conceded two easy goals against United. Another bad game for the Brazilian who had quite a good start. 3/10

Kante: Worked hard and still put in some vital interceptions despite being played out of position. Didn’t do much going forward either. 5/10

Kovacic: Did well for the first 30 minutes of the game, combining well with Hazard. Faded out afterwards in the second half. 4/10

Pedro: Had one or two good spells in the first-half but was anonymous for the remainder of the game before being taken off for Willian. 4/10

Hazard: Was Chelsea’s best player and seemed intent on winning this game, but his teammates weren’t at their best. 6/10

Higuain: Good movements and nice team play were evident in his game in the first-half, but he was isolated in the second-half. Had some good chances in the first-half. 5/10

Subs

Willian: Came on for Pedro on the 58th minute but didn’t add anything to the game. 4/10

Barkley: Seemed to have done worse than Kovacic after coming on. 4/10

Zappacosta: Added nothing after replacing Azpilicueta. His was even a strange substitution. 4/10

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
