Chelsea produced a disciplined performance to beat London rivals Tottenham 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in a game that was important for Chelsea’s top four race.
A wonderful goal by Pedro was followed by an own goal by Trippier to seal Chelsea’s three points.

Caballero: His first Premier League game of the season, and the experienced goalkeeper was rarely tested as Spurs couldn’t get a shot on target. He made some good punches and stops from Tottenham’s crosses. 6/10
Azpilicueta: Solid performance from the captain and helped the team defensively. Played a good ball for Pedro to score. His raw desire to win this game was clearly revealed. 7/10
Luiz: Put up a good fight to ensure that Harry Kane was silent all game. Very passionate display. 8/10
Rudiger: Very solid at the back as he was strong in his tackles and made sure the likes of Kane and Son couldn’t get a sniff on the Chelsea goal. 8/10
Alonso: Did great defensively to nullify any of Spurs threat and linked up well when Chelsea needed to pass the ball out from the back. 7/10
Jorginho: He worked hard off the ball for the team, but some of his passes weren’t good as he misplaced a lot of passes when put under pressure. 6/10
Kante: Surely, there is only one N’Golo Kante. After his strong display against Manchester City where he pressed hard for 120 minutes, Kante was again Chelsea’s hardest worker as he broke a number of Spurs attack. Showed composure a lot of times to help the team pass out from the back as he beat Tottenham’s press comfortably. 8.5/10
Kovacic: Worked hard and was really slick on the ball. Had a good game but seemed to tire out in the second half. 7.5/10
Pedro: Was definitely the man of the mach as he scored the all important first goal. He worked hard for the team and pressed really well. Made one vital tackle in the penalty box to save Chelsea from a dangerous Spurs attack. His passion and desire tonight was awesome. 9/10
Hazard: Looked pretty tired but had some decent moments when he showed what he is capable of. Was subbed off with 30 minutes left as he looked quite tired.
Higuain: Started the first half really well and even hit the post as he showed some good movement upfront. But he went missing in the second-half.
Willian: Brought energy after replacing Hazard. His press caused Trippier to make a mistake and score past Hugo Lloris. 6/10
Loftus-Cheek: Added freshness after coming on for Kovacic with about 13 minutes left to play. 6/10
Giroud: Brought his aerial presence after coming on, and his headed ball led to Kieran Trippier’s own goal. 6
