Thibaut Courtois left Chelsea for Real Madrid last summer and it is believed Eden Hazard could follow suit this summer.
It is widely believed Hazard would leave Chelsea for Real Madrid this summer after the Belgian openly admitted he would love to play for Real Madrid.
Speaking after Real Madrid’s Champions League win over Ajax on Wednesday night, Courtois revealed he doesn’t know if Hazard would join him at Real Madrid.
“It would be nice, but I can’t say too much about it,” Courtois said. “That’s something he has to decide himself.
“And Real… I don’t know if they want him.
“Eden is a top player and my friend.”
Meanwhile, Belgian football expert Kristof Terreur claimed last month that Hazard has turned down two contract offers from Chelsea and was waiting for Real Madrid to make a move to sign him.
“He has rejected two contract offers so far,” Terreur said on the Transfer Talk podcast. “And says that he doesn’t want to sign right now.
“That means he is waiting for something and that something means just one thing, Real Madrid.
“Real Madrid are still interested as far as I know, but they are still yet to make their move. They don’t have a personal agreement with him at this point, they don’t have an agreement with Chelsea and they haven’t even made the phone call like they did last summer.
“When they called last summer, Marina Granovskaia said that he wasn’t for sale and Real respected that. But they might come back in again as they need to strengthen their squad after this season and it is easier to get players with just over a year left on a contract.”
