With Gonzalo Higuain unable to score in his first two games for Chelsea, the Argentine was in stunning form against Huddersfield and scored a brace in that game including a stunning strike to mark his second goal for the Blues.

Hazard’s return to form against Huddersfield Town coincided with the form of Gonzalo Higuain who also bagged a brace in that game, and Hazard admitted he’s a fantastic striker.

Hazard also revealed that the team was in awe of the 31-year-old when they saw his quality on the training ground.

“He’s good, we know, we saw it in the first training session that he is a fantastic striker,” Hazard said.

“He can score from everywhere, he scored a lot of goals in Italy and Spain. He has the quality to score, and also receive the ball, be a target man, go deep. He is complete, and we are just happy to play with him.”

Higuain set a record with his brace as he became Chelsea’s first player to score twice on their home league debut since Mario Stanic’s goal against West Ham in August 2000.

Blues boss Maurizio Sarri was full of praise for Higuain after the game against Huddersfield Town.

“I know very well that, when he arrived, he wasn’t at the top of his physical condition,” Sarri said.

“Now he is improving. I’m really very happy because, apart from the goals, my feeling is he’s really suitable to play very close to Eden.

“I think that, on the pitch, they are really very suitable to play one close to the other. For us, this is very useful for Higuain because he will be able to score a lot of goals, but also for Eden.”

Willian has hailed the quality in Chelsea’s squad and hailed new signing Gonzalo Higuain.

“We have a lot of good players, a quality team, and very good players in front,” said the Brazilian.

“It doesn’t matter the player that plays there, we have the same profile of football and that’s what the manager says to us: ‘Play fast, play quick.’

“Higuain played very well with his movements, with one-twos around the box, so it was very good for us.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
