Chelsea striker Gonzalo Higuain bagged a brace as the Blues thrashed Huddersfield Town 5-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
It was the Argentine’s first and second goals for Chelsea since arriving from Juventus on loan in January.
Eden Hazard has hailed Higuain as a great striker and believes the Argentine has what it takes to score goals regularly for Chelsea.
“We try to work with each other, Higuain is a new player but he knows what the manager wants,” Hazard said.
“He is a great striker and he can score a lot of goals. England is different than Italy and Spain but he has that ability. If [Olivier] Giroud or I play as a striker, we always try and help each other.”
Hazard and Higuain linked up superbly in attack against Huddersfield and Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri was impressed.
“I know very well that, when he arrived, he wasn’t at the top of his physical condition,” Sarri said. “Now he is improving. I’m really very happy because, apart from the goals, my feeling is he’s really suitable to play very close to Eden.
“I think that, on the pitch, they are really very suitable to play one close to the other. For us, this is very useful for Higuain because he will be able to score a lot of goals, but also for Eden.”
