Chelsea were totally outclassed by Manchester City at the Etihad on Sunday as the Blues lost 6-0 to the defending champions.
The loss was embarrassing and Graeme Souness believes Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri could be sacked because losing 6-0 is unacceptable for a club like Chelsea.
Chelsea have now conceded 12 goals in our last three away games without reply.
Sarri is now the bookies’ favourite to get sacked after the embarrassing loss to Manchester City on Sunday.
Souness said: “I’m never comfortable talking about managers losing their job, I’ve been there, had that feeling, it’s not great.
“Given the history of Chelsea, they don’t mess around do they? A lot of Chelsea supporters that came to this game were leaving just after half time.
“For owners and directors coming… I think it’s going to be difficult for him to hold onto his job, 6-0 is just not acceptable for Chelsea. It might seem ruthless but that’s the business they’re in.”
Manchester United legend Gary Neville said: “The interviews that Sarri has done, you can multiply that by 10 because what we hear is only part of it.
“If it’s coming out publicly, inside it’s probably not that great.
“It’s the kind of club you wouldn’t be surprised if you wake up tomorrow and find Chelsea have changed their manager.”
