Michy Batshuayi has joined Premier League side Crystal Palace on loan for the rest of the season.
The Belgian striker spent the first half of the season on loan at Valencia where he made 23 appearances and scored three goals but will now spend the rest of the season on loan at Crystal Palace.
According to The Guardian, Crystal Palace paid a loan fee of about £1million to secure the loan signing of Batshuayi.
Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish told the club’s official website: “This is a fantastic signing for Crystal Palace.
“Michy is a player we’ve long admired, and I’m delighted that we’ve finally managed to get him in a red and blue shirt. He will be a magnificent addition to our squad.”
Batshuayi moved to Chelsea from Marseille in the summer of 2016 and ended his first season at Stamford Bridge with nine goals, including the strike which secured the Premier League title in the game at West Brom.
He scored 10 goals in the first half of last season before moving on loan to Borussia Dortmund for the second half of the season.
Crystal Palace are currently 15th in the Premier League, four points clear of the relegation zone.
