It was  a match filled with tension and lots of drama as Chelsea lost to Manchester City in the final of the Carabao Cup following a thrilling game at Wembley.

Both teams were unable to get a goal in 90 minutes, and the entertaining encounter went on to extra time and both sides couldn’t get a goal. City ended up winning the tie 4-3 on penalties.

See the player ratings below:

Kepa: Had a good game and even saved a penalty in the shootout, but will get a poor rating for disrespecting the manager and even his teammates in front of the world to see. 1/10

Azpilicueta: Solid at the back and was strong defensively. Made sure Sterling couldn’t get a sniff on goal. 7/10

Rudiger: Was a rock at the back as he defended tight against Aguero. Made sure the Argentine didn’t get any tangible opportunity. So many vital blocks and took one for the team by conceding a vital foul to collect a yellow card. 8/10

Luiz: Strong defensive showing at the back. Played a couple of long range balls forward that helped the team pass out from the back. 7.5/10

Emerson: Dealt really well with Bernardo Silva and helped Chelsea’s attack on the left flank. Had some good combinations with Hazard. 8/10

Jorginho: Very good game in the heart of midfield. Used the ball well and showed really strong character. Unfortunately, he missed his penalty. 7.5/10

Kante: Definitely the hardest worker on the pitch. Made a number of timely interceptions and also helped in a number of counter attacks. 9/10

Barkley: Worked very hard in midfield. Had a good game. 7/10

Willian: Worked very hard to cut City’s flow on the left flank. Helped the team in counter as well. 8/10

Pedro: worked very hard and made sure Chelsea were solid at the right. Helped Azpilicueta at the back. 7/10

Hazard: Was definitely the most dangerous player on the pitch. Caused Otamendi and Kompany a lot of problems as he was a constant danger all through the game. 9/10

Hudson-Odoi: Replaced Pedro in the 79th minute after the Spaniard tired out. Looked threatening at times. 6/10

Loftus-Cheek: Used his skill to cause some problems after replacing Barkley in the 89th minute. 6/10

Higuain: Offered nothing in extra time after replacing Willian in extra time. 4/10

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
