Chelsea are through to the round of 16 after beating Malmo 3-0 at Stamford Bridge in the second leg of the tie. Chelsea won the first leg 2-1, and are through to the next round following an aggregate win of 5-1. Goals from Olivier Giroud, Ross Barkley and Callum Hudson-Odoi sealed the win for Chelsea.

Caballero: Barely had anything to do in the game. Wasn’t tested. 6/10

Azpilicueta: Solid performance on the right side of defence. 6/10

Rudiger: Had a nervy first few minutes, but got solid afterwards. 6/10

Christensen: Calm and cool in defence. Everything he did was with finesse. 7/10

Emerson: Was an outlet all through the game on the left flank. Helped the team to attack. 7/10

Kovacic: Played the deep lying playmaker role and had a nervy game especially in the first-half. Made too many mistakes and misplaced too many balls. 5/10

Kante: Did his specialty as he pounced on a loose ball and started a devastating counter which resulted in the first goal. Broke up play and linked attacks well in the second half. 7/10

Barkley: Anonymous first half, but picked in the second-half and got his goal via a nice curling free-kick. 7/10

Hudson-Odoi: Was the star of the team tonight and troubled Malmo whenever he got the ball. Got a nice goal to cap off a brilliant performance. 8/10

Willian: Had an exciting game. Assisted Giroud for the first goal following a counter, and played a brilliant ball for Hudson-Odoi to score from. 8/10

Giroud: Scored Chelsea’s first goal following a great counterattacking move. Was a good focal point upfront. 7/10


Jorginho: Came on to steady the ship as he replaced Barkley. 5/10

Loftus-Cheek: Came on for Kante and was lively. Nearly got himself a goal after coming on. 6/10

Ampadu: Came on late in the game for Azpilicueta and played as a right-back. 5/10
