Chelsea were in super form to beat Dynamo Kiev 5-0 away from home to seal a passage into the quarterfinal of the Europa League following an 8-0 aggregate victory.

A hat-trick from Olivier Giroud and further goals from Marcos Alonso and Callum Hudson-Odoi showed just how dominant Chelsea were tonight.

See the player ratings from the game

Kepa: Made one good save in the second-half to keep a clean sheet. Was barely tested, and his passing out was very good. 7/10

Zappacosta: Wasn’t pressured defensively, but was just decent offensively. 6/10

Christensen: Kept it simple with his passes. Was very composed in the defence as he was barely tested. 7/10

Rudiger: Solid performance and had a good partnership with Christensen. 7/10

Alonso: Had a very good game. Was steadily on the offensive and got a goal in the process. Got an assist for one of Giroud’s goals and also tested Denys Boyko with an awesome free-kick. 8/10

Kovacic: Played the Jorginho and was very good on the ball. 7/10

Loftus-Cheek: Very powerful performance from the England international. Was a constant threat in midfield and kept causing problems each time he went forward. Was one of the best players on the pitch tonight. 9/10

Kante: Linked up well with Hudson-Odoi and made a number of good runs from the right flank. Taken off in the second-half as he was rested for the Everton clash this weekend. 8/10

Willian: Very bright performance tonight and created two goals from a set piece.

Hudson-Odoi: Was quiet at the start of the game, but he later picked up and was very deadly. Rounded up the game by scoring the fifth goal following a bust of pace, and his assist for Alonso’s goal following a one-touch move with Giroud and was just too hot for the Ukrainians. 8.5/10

Giroud: Got a perfect hat-trick with his left foot right foot and then a header. Was involved in the build-up to Alonso’s goal as he made a good one-two pass with Hudson-Odoi. Was a beast upfront and his runs were very good. 10/10

Subs

Jorginho: Came on for Kante and was very calm on the ball. 6/10

Azpilicueta: Came on for the injured Zappacosta with a little over 20 minutes left of play, and he slotted into the game really well. 6/10

Pedro: Came on for Willian with a quarter of an hour left, but he didn’t influence the game. 5/10

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
