Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic, currently on loan at Serie A side Atalanta, has revealed that he doesn’t want to return to Stamford Bridge when his loan deal at Atalanta expires at the end of the season.
His move to Atalanta is his fifth loan spell since signing for Chelsea and the Croatian admits he wants to stay at a club for a long time instead of different loan moves away season.
Pasalic has made 24 Serie A appearances for Atalanta, scoring once and assisting four times. He also spent time on loan at AC Milan in the 2016/17 season, where he scored five times and played 24 Serie A games.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, Pasalic said: “We want to win the Italian Cup. I turned around a lot, maybe too much. I think, ‘Ok, I’ll stop, then not it never happens. Now I would like to stop, here in Bergamo there is the ideal environment.
“I knew I could demonstrate my qualities, I dream of dressing the same shirt for a long time: maybe it’s the right time, but it doesn’t depend on me.”
Meanwhile, Barcelona star Lionel Messi has hailed Chelsea star Eden Hazard as one of the top five players in the world.
“It was nice to have Ronaldo in La Liga for the prestige he brought,” Messi told 947FMRadio, according to Metro UK.
“Excluding him [Ronaldo] and me, the best players in the world are Mbappe, Hazard, Suarez, Aguero and Neymar.”
