Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is expected to make several changes to the team that started the 5-0 Europa League thrashing of Dynamo Kiev on Thursday.
Victory over Everton on Sunday will move Chelsea level on points with Arsenal in fourth as the Gunners are without a match this weekend.
Olivier Giroud started up front in the victory at Kiev while Gonzalo Higuain missed the trip to Ukraine due to illness but is expected to be in contention this weekend. Despite Giroud’s good form in Europe, Sarri is expected to start Higuain against Everton.
Eden Hazard was on the bench against Dynamo Kiev on Thursday but is expected to start against Everton this weekend. Jorginho, David Luiz and Cesar Azpilicueta are also expected to return to the starting XI this weekend.
Callum Hudson-Odoi scored against Dynamo Kiev while Ruben Loftus-Cheek was impressive in Kiev but both players are most likely to drop to the bench against Everton. Willian and Mateo Kovacic started against Dynamo Kiev but could also drop to the bench with Pedro and Ross Barkley expected to start.
Chelsea’s predicted lineup vs Everton: Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Emerson, Jorginho, Kante, Barkley, Pedro, Hazard, Higuain.
