The future of Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been in the air for many months now.

The Chelsea forward has been linked with a move away from the club for several months now, with Real Madrid keen on his signature, and rumours tend to claim that Hazard will leave Chelsea for Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Reports of Hazard completing a move to the Bernabeu intensified after the return of Zinedine Zidane as manager of Real Madrid earlier this month following a poor run of results for the La Liga giants under Santiago Solari, and Hazard has made no secret of his desire to play not only for Real Madrid but under the veteran Zidane, a player he idolised as a kid.

Despite all these rumours, Hazard has refused to be drawn into these speculations of a Chelsea exit, and recently insisted that he’s focused on Chelsea.

Asked about his future ahead of Belgium’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against Russia and Cyprus, the Belgium captain said: “At the moment there’s nobody waiting for me.

“We still have 2 important months with Chelsea. We can win the Europa League.

“We have to win the Europa League or we have to finish in the top four to play in the Champions League.

“I am only thinking about that (last two months with Chelsea), not about what might happen in two, three, four months. I don’t know. We will see.”

And now, Hazard has raised the hopes of Chelsea fans by claiming he’ll choose Chelsea Blue over Real Madrid’s white in a Twitter question and answer.

During a Q&A with Belgian outlet HLN, Hazard was asked to choose between the blue of Chelsea and the white of Real Madrid, to which he replied: “Blue!”

Would you like to be your brother for a day?

“I would want to be him for many more days than just one. Thorgan is a really cool guy.”

What if you could be Cristiano Ronaldo for a day?

“Oh yes, it would be fantastic to reach his level of excellence. I think that would be so brilliant.

You don’t like defending in matches?

“Correct, I don’t.

Tottenham or Arsenal?

“Eeeeeh! As a little boy I was a big fan of Thierry Henry, so voila.”

Real Madrid or Barcelona?

“Two massive clubs (winking).”

Kylian Mbappe or Neymar?

“If I have to choose, I will say Mbappe. But that is because I know Kylian personally really well.”

Will you win the Ballon d’Or one day?

Do you want to play in China one day?

“No, not at all.”

Will Barcelona win the Champions League this year?

“I don’t rule it out, but as Cristiano wins the Champions League every season, I think that will be difficult.”

The blue of Chelsea or the white of Real Madrid?

Jose Mourinho or Rafa Benitez?

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
