Eden Hazard has been chased for many years by Real Madrid, and it’s either stay or leave for Hazard at the end of the season.
Real Madrid have reportedly made an initial offer to Chelsea to sign Eden Hazard this summer. And according to Daily Record, the Blues have rejected Real Madrid’s offer to sign Hazard but the Blues may be forced to cash in on the Belgian or risk losing him for nothing next year if Hazard fails to extend his contract.
Hazard’s Chelsea contract expires in the summer of 2020 and the 28-year-old has stalled on contract negotiations.
Following the recent reappointment of Hazard’s idol Zinedine Zidane as Real Madrid boss, rumours claim that Hazard will eventually move to the Spanish capital at the end of the season.
However, insists he will not be distracted by the mounting speculation over his Chelsea future and has vowed to put all of his focus on Chelsea in the next two months.
Asked about his future ahead of Belgium’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against Russia and Cyprus, the Belgium captain said: “At the moment there’s nobody waiting for me.
“We still have 2 important months with Chelsea. We can win the Europa League.+
“We have to win the Europa League or we have to finish in the top four to play in the Champions League.
“I am only thinking about that (last two months with Chelsea), not about what might happen in two, three, four months. I don’t know. We will see.”
Asked in January if he would like to join Madrid, Hazard replied: “Why not? You know it very well. You’re asking the question, but you know what the answer will be so you don’t have to ask it.
“I’ve won everything in England, apart from the Community Shield, but that doesn’t mean I’m leaving. I’ve always said that I wanted to explore something different after England but there are also things that might make me stay. After the World Cup, I wanted to leave, but in the end I stayed at Chelsea and I’m playing one of the best seasons so far.”
