Eden Hazard reached a major milestone for Chelsea during Sunday’s trip to Fulham which Chelsea won 2-1 at the Craven Cottage.

Hazard might not have been at his best against Fulham, but he got an assist by setting up Jorginho for the decisive goal.

Hazard became only the third player in the club’s history to score and assist 50 Premier League goals. Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba are the only other players to have managed such an achievement with the club.

Hazard has now had a hand in 131 goals in the Premier League since he joined from Lille in 2012, and he has now had 11 assists in the Premier League this season. The Belgian has the most assists so far this season.

Hazard who has scored 81 goals for Chelsea also currently sits 10th on the all-time list of goalscorers at the club, with George Hilsdon’s tally of 108 well within his sites.

Hazard has been linked with a summer move to Real Madrid all season and with the Belgian captain yet to sign a new contract, it is believed he would leave the club at the end of the season.

Chelsea fans will be keen to see Hazard remain at the club, and the club hasn’t given up hope of keeping Hazard.

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said Eden Hazard has what it takes to succeed at Spanish club Real Madrid.

“Does he have the talent to play for Real Madrid? He does,” Mourinho said.

“Does he have the personality to put on a ‘super-heavy’ shirt and play in front of the fans at the Bernabeu? Yes, he has the personality.

“Regarding Eden’s ambitions…be it playing for Chelsea his whole life or playing for a giant like Real Madrid, I can’t say, because I haven’t spoken to him for a long time.”
