Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has backed Chelsea to finish in the top four and win the Europa League this season.
Chelsea are currently sixth in the Premier League, two points off fourth-placed Manchester United but have played a game less than United and fifth-placed Arsenal.
Chelsea already look certain to reach the quarter finals of the Europa League after beating Dynamo Kiev in the first leg of our last 16 tie 3-0 on Thursday night.
Chelsea were in crisis earlier this year after heavy loses to Manchester City and Bournemouth but four wins in our last five games have seen confidence return to the team.
“We have had some ups and downs, but one thing we have done is stuck together,” Loftus-Cheek told Standard Sport.
“After the big loss against Bournemouth (4-0) and Manchester City (6-0), things could have fallen apart. But we kept it together in the changing room, stayed tight, stayed as a group, stayed as one.
“We lost together and won together. We have come through it now. We are feeling strong as a group and have bounced back from those times. We are doing well at the minute and want to keep that momentum going.
“It is still very possible (for Chelsea to win the Europa League and finish in the top four). There are very important games coming up.
“If we can win the Europa League that would be great. Obviously finishing in the top four is another target so we have to be focused from now on and treat every game massively.”
Chelsea take on Wolves at Stamford Bridge in the League this Sunday with revenge on our minds having lost to them 2-1 at Molineux in December. It was our second defeat of the season.
“Wolves are having a very good season and have done well against the top six. We have to be ready for that and hopefully we will get one over them after they got one over us,” Loftus-Cheek added.
“We are playing well at the minute, defending well and want to carry on this momentum. We must keep the same mindset. We want to win every game.”
