Chelsea turned down offers offer Callum Hudson-Odoi from Bayern Munich in January and it seems the Blues will have to fight even harder to keep the teenager at the club ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to Bild, Premier League club Liverpool have entered the race to sign Hudson-Odoi, joining Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in a three-way tussle for the winger.
Bayern Munich bid as much as £35million for Hudson-Odoi during the winter transfer window but the Blues rejected all offers for the 18-year-old despite Hudson-Odoi submitting a transfer request.
Hudson-Odoi has been limited to starts in domestic cup competitions and the Europa League with the 18-year-old yet to start a Premier League game for Chelsea.
Hudson-Odoi reportedly wanted to join Bayern Munich in January as he was concerned about the amount of game time he would receive at the club.
Chelsea are reluctant to let Hudson-Odoi leave the club following the re-emergence of rumours linking Eden Hazard with a move to Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, former Manchester United and Manchester City midfielder Owen Hargreaves believes Hudson-Odoi is a better player than Christian Pulisic.
Chelsea signed Pulisic in January for around £60million and loaned him to Borussia Dortmund for the rest of the season.
“I love him (Hudosn-Odoi). He’s 18-years-old and every time he plays he impacts the game,” Hargreaves told BT Sport.
“But they have just spent £50m, £60m on Pulisic. There is no way he is a better player than Hudson-Odoi, not in a million years.”
